MAXIMIZING YOUR DERMAL SOURCE TOPICAL ANESTHETICS

Integrating topical anesthetics into your practice is easy to do once you understand how each product functions. To enhance absorption for most procedures, excluding eyeliner: 1) exfoliate and clean the skin with an alcohol pad; 2) roll the area with a Derm Ease G2 roller; 3) apply anesthetic; and 4) occlude until the anesthetic effect is achieved.

PRE-PROCEDURE ANESTHETICS FOR INTACT SKIN

Maximum Zone 1

This self-occlusive pre-deadener cream contains the highest percentage of Lidocaine available without a prescription, and with a pH of 7, it is safe for use on all procedures including eyeliner.

TOPICAL ANESTHETICS FOR USE DURING PAINFUL PROCEDURES

Maximum Zone 2

This clear gel anesthetic contains the highest level of Lidocaine available without a prescription, together with a vascular constrictor to reduce swelling and bleeding.

MAXIMUM ZONE 2 can be occluded and are effective for up to two hours with one application. Safe for use on all procedures. Thoroughly remove them before you begin your work. Do not reapply. Apply Five-Star Vasocaine to extend the anesthetic effect, excluding eyeliner.

Five-Star Vasocaine

This liquid spray with a vascular constrictor contains the highest level of Lidocaine available without a prescription. It is safe for use in all procedures, except eyeliner. Spray it on open skin. Because of the vascular constrictor, you will also experience a reduction in bruising and bleeding. Always remove the product thoroughly before continuing a procedure.

ADDITIONAL TOPICAL ANESTHETIC INFORMATION

  1. Keep your anesthetics refrigerated or in a cool dark place. Do not freeze your anesthetics. Temperatures above 80 degrees reduce the life and effectiveness of your anesthetics. Do not use beyond expiration date.
  2. Remove your pre-procedure anesthetics before applying a design, stencil or landmarks for your procedure.
